New Inspired Natives Awardee

Earlier this year, we were honored to welcome Shirod Younker (Coquille/Miluk Coos/Umpqua) as our newest Inspired Natives Awardee! Shirod is an artist and educator who has committed to perpetuating the artwork of his people and supporting others to do the same. We created a pair of cozy "Slack Tide" Crew socks, and make sure to keep an eye out for new products with Shirod!

Blanket Collaborations with NIEA & AIGC

We partnered with the American Indian Graduate Center (AIGC) and National Indian Education Association (NIEA) to create blankets to support Native students across the country. You can purchase the AIGC Turtle Blanket here!

First Officially Licensed Jim Thorpe Product

In celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day, we unveiled a new wool blanket titled "All Around Excellence" that pays tribute to the legendary Jim Thorpe (Sac and Fox), a Native icon famous for winning Olympic gold in the decathlon and pentathlon, before going on to excel in professional baseball and football. Officially licensed and designed by Eighth Generation in collaboration with Sac and Fox traditional ribbon artist, Ruth Garvin. You can also take a look at our Jim Thorpe Phone case here!

New Warehouse

The Eighth Generation admin team in our newest warehouse.

This year, we grew from occupying one warehouse, to TWO in Seattle's SODO District! We're excited to have more production and warehouse space to accommodate our small but ever-growing company.

Our Growing Team

Our kick ass team is growing faster than ever! In 2019, we welcomed Adriana Perrusquia (Yup'ik), Kevin Coochwytewa (Isleta Pueblo/Hopi), Yirede Valencia-Martinez (Otomi), and Roquin Siongco (CHamoru). Watch for new admin positions for 2020!

From all of us at Eighth Generation, thank you for all your support this year. We appreciate you, and we wish you a Happy New Year!
